Hall of Fame

Honoring the Highest Achievement in the Field.

Hall of Fame

The goal is to improve and share software engineering education and training practices by identifying the best examples in the field. Those elected to membership in Hall of Fame represent the highest achievement in their field, serving as models of what can be achieved and how in software engineering education and training.

CSEE&T 2017 invites new nominations. Anyone can nominate his/her own software engineering education and training program by submitting a IEEE conference proceedings format 2-page nomination paper before the conference. Examples of programs include, but are not limited to: university’s graduate/undergraduate educational courses on software engineering and company’s professional engineers training programs on software engineering. The nomination must address most of the following criteria to be fulfilled by Hall-of-Fame members:

  • The program is clearly identified in terms of its goal, target and scope, background and necessity, method (such as a product, process and resource) and its distinguishing characteristics, and result.
  • The program has been successful.
  • The program has had a strong influence on others who desire to build and evolve program, and has gained recognition as an exemplar.
  • There is sufficient documentation about the program that one can understand it without resorting to hearsay.

The CSEE&T Hall of Fame Committee evaluate each nomination paper, and decide whether or not nominated programs are presented at the open Hall-of-Fame election session during the conference. Applicants must present their programs at the election session by addressing the above-mentioned criteria. Everyone is welcome to the session to understand nominated programs and ask critical questions.

Finally, the CSEE&T Hall of Fame Committee evaluates their presentations in terms of the above-mentioned criteria to find out what constitutes excellence and success, vote acceptance or rejection, and notifies the result.

Those elected to membership in Hall of Fame will receive certificates of the membership, and be listed on the official website of CSEE&T. Moreover, every nomination paper accepted for presentation will be included in the CSEE&T 2017 proceedings.
